Population
Turkmenistan has a population of approximately 6 million people (as of 2023). The majority of the population consists of Turkmen, making up about 85% of the total. Employees may be entitled to severance pay in certain cases, especially for economic layoffs. Severance is typically calculated as one month’s salary for each year of employment.
